An Infographic is a visual representation of similar groups of “information”, useful to more easily digest for quick and easy reference. Infographics can be used to engage your readers by offering useful information. While both effective and useful to your readers, you will want to make sure you avoid the following:
1. Clip art
2. Dated information
3. Unreadable typography
4. The same topic as one released just before yours
5. Multiple links to your site in the embed code
6. Poor grammar
7. Bit.ly resource links
8. No story is told
Here is some great advice that anyone venturing into Infographics should always remember:
If you know one item might not be very strong (let’s say the graphics won’t be the best) then make sure the research and other elements of it are rock star standard! As with a computer build, your infographic will only be as good as its weakest element. So if you have to trim the budget here and there, make sure everything else is the best it can be.
Are you using Inforgraphics in any part of your marketing campaigns and do you feel they're effective?
