Network marketing has long been a business known for helping people reach their financial and professional dreams; but it also carries a lot of baggage with it. While most people think of MLM marketing as a veritable get-rich-quick scheme, the ones who are involved in it are deeply entrenched in one of the most successful business models known to man; and they take the opportunity very seriously. There is good reason for this. Network marketing in all its forms has become a multi-billion dollar industry. While getting rich quick may forever remain a pipe dream for most, there are a select few who have hit it big quite rapidly thanks to a well-chosen and well-worked MLM opportunity. Even those who don’t end up with the mansions and boats still do well compared to nine-to-five traditional jobs that are far more restrictive. Still, there will always be those that say that MLM is a waste of time and, worse, a detriment to one’s life and resources. To prove the naysayers wrong and to avoid becoming a cliché that enters an opportunity, raves about it and then quits soon after, listen to the following points and live them. What follows are the tips that you should use to find a recession-proof and ultra-successful MLM opportunity.
Who Are You?
Network marketing or MLM managers are going to want to know who you are and what you are made of before they take a chance on you. The reason MLM has received such a bad rap and the reason so many people quit after being all gung-ho in the beginning is because too many managers recruit just anyone into their organizations.
They don’t look for the best and the brightest and the most motivated to help them carry their opportunities to network marketing success and beyond. Instead, they take any old schmo off the street banking on the numbers game. The more people you recruit, the more of them will stay and the higher your chances of reaching success.
A better way to approach network marketing is to become the best-of-the-best, and be the brightest so that you can entice that MLM manager who won’t settle for second best or lazy recruits. Oh no, if you want to achieve your dreams in network marketing or MLM, you need to prove that you’ve got what it takes to make history.
You can display that you are premium network marketing material by stocking your LinkedIn profile and by becoming active on social media. Having a well-designed website that highlights your skills and experience wouldn’t hurt a bit, either. Even if you only have a resume and a portfolio, be prepared to show recruiting MLM managers that you are their best shot at achieving greatness.
Once you have your professional examples in place and now that you are wary of sub-par opportunities, here are the network marketing or LML avenues to pursue.
Go to the Source: Find a network marketing opportunity that you appreciate and contact the company directly. Be proactive and go after what you want instead of waiting for an opportunity to fall in your lap.
Freelance Sites: Or you could take the passive approach and list your profile and ambitions on one or more of the most popular freelance job boards online, such as Elance and Odesk. Of course, you can create your profile and wait for network marketing or MLM managers to come to you, or you can start bidding for the top jobs and hope for the best. Ideally you should do both if you want maximum results.
Social Marketing: Become active on social media and start connecting with other MLM professionals on the various platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Get to know how they operate, what makes them so good at the MLM opportunity they have chosen and, more importantly, you will want to start mining the various opportunities on the map to find out which ones are best to help you pursue your financial and professional goals.
Networking: You can also take your resume and portfolio to offline conventions, trade-shows and MLM getaways in the hopes of connecting with the perfect opportunity recruiter. If anything, these offline network situations could plant a seed that could translate into an exciting business proposition somewhere down the line.
Start Your Own: If you have the business sense of an Ivy League graduate and the desire to make money like a Wall Street wolf, you are encouraged to start your own network marketing or MLM opportunity. You will need a product or service to offer, a recruiting structure, a systemized sales process and a marketing program that makes your program as exciting as it can appear for the means of gathering others into your fold. Dream big, aim high and your MLM opportunity may soon become one of the best.
While these represent the best ways to approach the most successful network marketing opportunities available, you never know when a recruiter may tap you on the shoulder when you least expect it. The lesson is to keep your eyes and your mind open, as you never know when the next MLM opportunity may come your way. How you react may determine whether or not you reach your true potential.
