There exist a few business owners in this world who look down on network marketers. Every network marketer has heard the jibe at least once in their lives – “Don’t you want to consider a real job?” This ‘real job’, as it is often referred to, describes the typical 9-5. Yet even if you work the night shift at the hospital, you are considered to have a real job. That real job involves a regular paycheck, oftentimes benefits and a structured atmosphere. While that sounds great, all of those things can suddenly be ripped out from under you like a magician performing some sick magic trick if you happen to become ill or, worse, you happen to screw up. Unlike the magic trick, who knows what will happen if you do find your lifestyle ripped out from under you. Will you remain standing or will you fall flat on your face? Those who know the network marketing benefit don’t want to take those chances. The network marketer takes his destiny into his own hands and refuses to listen to any said boss. He is an entrepreneur first and foremost and in that sense he is miles ahead of any ‘real job’ worker. We could learn a lot from network marketing when it comes to running a business. To prove that point, here are five things most network marketers do much better than most business professionals today.
1. They Bring the Excitement: The typical office could use some network marketing benefit. Walk into the typical office and you will usually hear at least one person complaining about their day. It’s commonplace to hear your co-workers lamenting over their home and work situations over the water-cooler. It’s kind of understood that you have to do that. If you were to walk into the typical office today excited for the opportunity laid out before you, people would look at you like you just grew a new head. You’d be considered weird, strange or just out-of-place.
Yet network marketers must bring the excitement every day and during every minute of the day if they hope to be successful. They must get others excited at the prospect of promoting the opportunity at hand, and at the same time they must sell, sell, sell, in order to maximize their incomes.
Take a page out of the typical MLM practitioner’s handbook and get started network marketing your business. Wake up thrilled to face the opportunity you have been offered, spend your every waking moment considering how to best improve your current business successes and never stop chasing your entrepreneurial dreams. Do that and you will understand the network marketing benefit, which is more clients or customers, more sales and an even bigger bottom line.
2. They Go Out of Their Way: Most business professionals do just enough to get by. Network marketing professionals don’t have a ‘typical job description’ that they can constantly refer to. They must always do what needs to be done and oftentimes more than that if they hope to please and keep their clients or customers always coming back for more.
3. They Network: Business professionals who aren’t in sales oftentimes stick with their own. They don’t usually venture out and meet other dignitaries in their fields.
Network marketing your business will involve spreading the word just like an MLM practitioner would. You’ll spend your mornings contacting prospects who got a hold of you from the night before, you will spend your afternoons coaching your employees or planning your future; and your evenings will be spent going over your day, learning from your mistakes and making plans for a more prosperous tomorrow.
Do all of that and you will experience the network marketing benefit of having even more doors opening up for you, and that could lead to an even brighter future before you. Simply take hold of your destiny, grab onto the doorknobs of those doors and yank them open so that you can break through any glass ceiling.
4. They Treat Others with Respect: Many business people today are so tired of their usual day-to-days that they end up taking their frustrations out on their valued customers and clients. Network marketing practitioners would never do that.
That is because network marketing your business will involve getting to know your clients and customers. It will involve understanding their motivations and alleviating their concerns. Most of all, it will involve communicating with clients and customers on a one-on-one and very personal basis. The general belief is that we are all human, so let’s treat everyone how we would like to be treated. The Golden Rule, and all that jazz. That’s how network marketing professionals do it, and they yield plenty of network marketing benefit in the process.
5. They Enjoy Their Success: Most network marketers know very well how some business professionals feel about them and they simply don’t care. That is because network marketing your business can take your business to new heights you never imagined possible. We are talking heights that you would never reach at a day job making someone else rich while you toiled away at processes that are oftentimes beneath your skill and experience levels.
The fact is, network marketing is a successful business model because it works. Business professionals today who adhere to the traditionally-mopey, complaint-ridden and Debbie-downer-laden atmosphere that has permeated most offices today would be wise to adopt a few network marketing habits themselves.
So tomorrow, if you want to do things differently and you want to start network marketing your business, go into work excited like you’ve never been before. Go out of your way for everyone you come into contact with. Network your pants off online and off and treat everyone you deal with – from the store clerk to Harry in Accounting – with the utmost respect. Finally, think big and look forward to every single day because, if you hope to become like a network marketing professional, the sky is the limit. Your business can only climb as high as you are willing to work, but if you can bring the effort every day, your business will go as far as you can dream.
