Business credit is a very big deal. Without any credit at all, you may find it hard to buy the supplies and equipment you need, and paying employees may sometimes be difficult if you don’t have the liquid cash on hand to be able to do so. If you have bad business credit, you may find that some people don’t want to do business with you at all. Bad credit tells others that you’re not to be trusted, that your business engages in shady dealings and that you simply fail to live up to your responsibilities. For these reasons, it is very important for you to monitor your business credit. Whether you have no credit, so-so or stellar credit, only by keeping on top of your score can you hope to remain in the credit reporting agencies’ good graces. To help you out, here are a few apps and programs that will allow you to keep tabs on your business credit wherever you happen to be.
Creditera
If you have an iPhone and business credit is always on your mind, you might love Creditera. While technically an app for both personal and business credit, this app will still allow you to keep up with your business obligations and monitor your scores so that you can always determine where you stand in the eyes of your creditors.
Equifax Mobile
If anyone knows business credit, it’s Equifax. One of today’s top credit reporting agencies now has an app for both iPhone and Android mobile devices. With Equifax Mobile, you will not only be able to monitor your business credit, but you will also have access to the Fraud Index, which tells you how frequent identity fraud is in your local area, Credit Rankings, which allows you to see how your credit measures up to others in your area, and so much more. If you really want to monitor your business credit, this is the app to download and install.
Dun & Bradstreet
Considered the business credit authority, Dun & Bradstreet offers an app for both the iPhone and Android that will allow you to monitor your business credit accurately and while on the go. Once you download and install, you will get access to such products as CreditSignal, CreditAlert, CreditMonitor and CreditBuilder. If your credit is important to you, this is definitely the app to use.
Your Local Credit Union & Bank Apps
If you have a line of credit or one or more credit cards from your local bank or credit union, download and install their respective apps (if they provide one). This is a terrific way to keep on top of your business obligations and it will help you pay off all of your debts on time. You will know when each of your loan payments are due, you will always be able to check your balances and business obligations (at least as they pertain to the respective financial institutions) and many credit unions and banks offer extra credit monitoring products that you can take advantage of.
Tips to Help You Monitor Your Business Credit
It’s one thing to download an app on your mobile device to monitor your business credit, but it’s quite another to actually keep up with your business credit to ensure that it’s always where it needs to be. Nearly every one of the above options give you an opportunity to sign up for things like fraud protection and credit signaling. If someone tries to steal your identity or even if your business credit dips below a certain amount, these apps and programs will notify you. This is an excellent way to ensure that your business is always seen in the best light by any person or entity who might be checking.
Alarms, Calendar & Goal Setting Apps
While these technically aren’t business credit specific apps, they can be found on any mobile device and they are instrumental in helping you keep up with your business credit scores. Alarms and calendar apps can act as reminders for specific credit bills, and goal setting apps can help you develop plans to repair your credit, if it needs repairing.
The various apps listed above can be found in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Even if you have no credit at all, select one or more of the above and start using them. Even if you have no credit at all, these apps will help you get your credit to where it needs to be.
Your credit levels say a lot about your business and what it stands for. To always put your best foot forward in business and in life, monitor your business credit with one of these apps and programs and others will always be glad to do business with you.
