Whether we realize it or not, implementing changes in life all start in the mind. To change habits, it all happens by implementing new mindsets. The best way to improve an online business and one’s life is by shifting perspectives and focusing on methods that will enhance an owner and brand’s vision. Ready to improve life through a personal and professional transformation? Be sure to join us during our next free webinar training for additional ways to promote a company, but we give you a headstart by urging online brands to make these mind shift changes starting today.
1. Own your power
To be persuasive, you need to own your power, as Entrepreneur profoundly states. To possess your power, focus on drawing from your strength and implementing positive strategies. Instead of focusing on past mistakes, learn from them, and find solutions to grow your business.
Everyone has a source of inner power that fuels them. It’s the strength you draw from to overcome obstacles. But most of us aren’t really aware of what makes us powerful or how we can wield our abilities most effectively. The problem is that we don’t tend to see ourselves as capable, dynamic, forceful or influential. We dwell on our faults and mistakes, and this diminishes us. Eventually, we let our power slip away.
Spend some time reconnecting with yourself and acknowledging your limiting beliefs. What if you banished them? Own your power by understanding what lights you up. What gives you a thrill? What do you feel passionate about? Hold on to those things. Continually envision yourself as the badass you know you are.
2. Focus on others
Sometimes we get so caught up in our successes that we forget to focus on others. Sometimes success comes because you choose to focus on others, especially your customers. Entrepreneur explains why offering value both to the people in your life and customers can offer many benefits.
Helping others isn’t just a nice thing to do. When you help others, you also gain in return. After all, while giving leads to getting, more importantly, it leads to personal growth and feeling good. The first step in giving value to others is to stop being self-centered. Practice taking a real interest in others, and be authentic in your dealings with other people. Recognize that it’s not all about you. Stop focusing so much on how people react toward you, and you'll stop taking things so personally. This will allow you to stop reacting — and overreacting — to things.
Nothing is as mind-broadening as allowing yourself to really see the world from another person’s perspective. When you focus on the value you give to others, you start seeing other people’s needs more clearly.
3. Come up with positive mantras
To form positive habits, Incredible One Enterprises reminds us just how important it is to fuel your mind with positivity. One way you can do that is by reciting positive affirmations, or positive mantras. You decide how your thought processes work and how to focus on the positive instead of the negative.
I deserve abundance. Here’s the thing. If you don’t believe you deserve it, you’ll never earn or experience it. I know that the stories you’ve been telling yourself are holding you captive. But you have to tell yourself a different story. No matter where you’re from, what you’ve gone through, etc. you are still deserving of abundance. God created you that way. And you don’t have to sacrifice anything to access it. You have to DECIDE. And once you do, all of the universe will rearrange itself to bring you what you decided.
I am wealth, abundance and joy. This is one of my favorites from a book called a Happy Pocket Full of Money. Long before it was my reality, I believed it and spoke it consistently over myself. There is life in the words you speak. And as you speak, you give commands to God and the universe to respond to. So, this is why speaking this over yourself is so important. If you’ve been making casual covenants that haven’t been serving you, STOP. Instead, focus on what you want and watch the shift change everything.
Hack the Entrepreneur suggests that it’s all about being resilient and not allowing life’s difficulties to drag you down. Being bold can lead to personal and business growth, so it’s well worth the effort.
You have to be resilient and able to continue building what you believe is the next best thing. Things you build will often not succeed, but ultimately, those losses will add up to a win, based on what you’ve learned.
Todd Garland, founder of BuySellAds.
Todd didn’t just put out BuySellAds and start earning $10 million a year. The process took seven years and was full of struggles, hardship and things not working the way they were supposed to. Those struggles are necessary to achieve success.
So-called lucky people aren’t necessarily getting more advantages than other people. The universe doesn’t favor them, but they’re putting themselves out there more. They’re creating more connections that could lead to other stuff.
That is really how I interpret luck – creating more of a mathematical probability that you’re going to get what you want.
Russ Perry, founder of Design Pickle.
Luck’s a funny thing, isn’t it? As Russ says, it is about creating a mathematical probability by putting ourselves out there and trying more things.
When you start a business, it might fail – don’t worry about it – that’s how to have a business mindset. You might have to create 10 businesses before one will be successful. We make our luck with the decisions we make and the actions we take. Plain and simple.
4. Adapt to change
Inc. has a few suggestions on how to achieve your goals. Are you ready for them? They mention taking the time to meditate and listen to those you trust the most. Both sound like excellent suggestions to us that you should implement in your life. Also, they offer additional tips as well, such as being vulnerable. Sometimes being vulnerable has vast dividends!
Learn to meditate.
Your mindset is a muscle that can be strengthen and improved upon. One way to improve your mindset and embrace change in your life is to learn the exercise of meditation. Materials to help you ‘work out' this muscle include books like Dan Harris' 10% Happier, or apps like Headspace, which walks you through a great beginner meditation commitment of just 10 minutes a day for 10 days.–Kim Kaupe, ZinePak
Listen to trusted outside perspectives.
Build your high-level team. Hire a CEO so you can step back into a presidential role. This forces you to be more open about changes because the CEO has their own ideas to grow the company. And they'll have ultimate decision-making power to make changes and lead you out of the “mental quicksand.” If you're unwilling to do this, then form an advisory board you will allow to override you by vote.–Joshua Lee, StandOut Authority
Make personal development a priority for yourself.
Taking the time to work on your own development can be incredibly challenging as an entrepreneur. But, it is the only way to embrace change and manage the inevitable stress and ups and downs that come with growing a company. Whether it is mediating, yoga, a spiritual practice or just self-inquiry, intention about your own growth and path will let you learn to embrace change.–Jennifer Benz, Benz Communications
Imagine the inevitable.
Keep in mind that almost every product in history is eventually obsolete, at least in its original form. As a thought experiment, try to imagine how and why your own business will become outdated. Who or what is likely to make it obsolete? By coming up with answers to this question, you can position yourself to make these innovations rather than having your competitors do it at your expense.–Shawn Porat, Fortune Cookie Advertising
Make yourself vulnerable to others.
As our business evolve, it is the path of least resistance, but not always the best path, to form anything new based only on our current understandings and skill sets. Being in a position of power, others get dragged into our processes. But if we make ourselves vulnerable to accepting the thoughts of others, we may not only positively shift our mindset but also become better leaders.–Ken Cauley, Advanced Media
