A New Zealand woman recently made headlines for her care-free attitude and six figure bank account. Natalie Sassoon, otherwise known as the Suitcase Entrepreneur, doesn’t have a home address and manages to call various hotel rooms her home most nights. The fact is, Sassoon made her fortune completely online. After writing a best-selling book and creating a massive online empire, she doesn’t need to settle her head anywhere she doesn’t want to; and she certainly doesn’t need to answer to a boss. If you want to make money online like Natalie, able to travel the world and buy pretty much whatever you want, you need to think big. You need to think stellar. You need to think so massively that no idea can ever be too off limits. This is called thinking abstractly and it just so happens that we are about to offer you a few abstract ideas for making money online to get you started.
Selling a Best Selling Book
Making money online becomes easier when you have a valuable product or service to offer, and selling a book that others will gladly pay for is a great way to earn money hand over fist. You can’t just expect to write a book and have it take off, however. Sure, some people have done that, but some people have won the lottery, too. You need to go big if you want to make money online through one or more book offerings.
First you need an excellent and best-selling idea. Think 50 Shades of Grey, Twilight or Harry Potter and the multiple sequels. Then you must write your book. Commit to working on it every day, but don’t just remain passive during this time. You will want to build up hype for your book and show your knowledge and skills as a writer by creating a blog and by becoming active on the world’s most popular social media networks. You must become active on popular forums and get to know your growing audience intimately.
Obviously this will take a lot of work and that is why we are thinking abstractly at the moment. By coming up with a basic idea, you can later on create a road map to success that contains milestones and specific goals that must be reached so that your newly crafted book takes off just like you hope it will.
Create a Massive Online Business Empire
Natalie Sassoon isn’t the only entrepreneur to boast of making money online. Tim Ferris and his popular 4-Hour Workweek was hailing the benefits of making more money through online connections several years ago. The basic premise is the same: Come up with a valuable offering that helps customers solve a pressing need, like getting out of debt, finding a job, mowing the perfect lawn or perfecting a golf swing, and get others to build your empire for you.
Ferris recommends that you farm the projects that you need to compile your empire out to skilled workers in faraway lands that will work for much cheaper than local talent will. The idea is to utilize those talents to create a highly-valuable product or service that you can charge top dollar for, and one that only costs a fraction of what you are actually charging.
Just like the book idea, your online empire will need to use social media, online forums, video marketing and even paid marketing so that you can drive customers to your offering from far and wide. You must be able to convey enough authority that people will gladly fork over their credit or debit card numbers, and your offering must be of the highest-quality so that all customers come away feeling as if they have received a great buy for their money.
Now, this all sounds fairly easy and straight forward, but the hard part will be coming up with a product or service to offer. It doesn’t have to be one that no one has ever seen before, but to make more money than you ever hoped your offering should be one that is light years ahead of any competitor in your field.
For a book deal to take off and for your business empire to flourish, you need to conduct extensive research so that you can get to know your market and the price your audience will gladly pay. You must plan out your social media and forum posts, blog posts and paid online advertising efforts so that no virtual stone is left unturned. Finally, you must respond to and communicate with your audience to ensure that you remain memorable and fresh on the minds of those who matter most.
These are just two basic examples of how to use abstract thinking to make money online and to make more money as time goes on. Put these ideas to good use or come up with a few of your own to start your foray into making money online the Natalie Sassoon way.
