Here is a pretty neat business to do outline that offers a way to create and update a company wide check list. There are many ways to do this for free or to create it yourself so I felt that this was worth mentioning. We have lists like this in our business outline and in our members area. Looking at the structure of this list also can provide more accurate details on what you should be covering when you are first starting out. Use this information to create a custom list for yourself and your company/employees.
Check out what this list has to offer and see how you can use these details to create a list of your own:
Since businesses are so diverse, this checklist can’t cover all issues and situations, so you’ll need to contact the relevant government agencies that can assist you. Although this checklist focuses on Australian Government information, the contact
details of relevant state, territory and local agencies have also been included.
The four main sections of this checklist are:
> Before you start a business
> When you start a business
> When you buy a business
> Running your business
It even provides notes and contacts for what to do with this list and in each and every step:
How to use this checklist:
Print it off: To print a copy of this checklist, select the Printer icon on the toolbar, or select File then Print on the main menu.
Tick the boxes: Monitor your progress within each topic by ticking off each question as you complete it. Like a to-do list, this will show you what is done and what is left to do.
My notes: Add relevant information about your progress in the notes pages located at the end of this checklist. For example, you can write down your business reference numbers and the contact details of people or agencies you deal with.
Translation: If you need an interpreter, please phone the Translating and Interpreting Service National on 13 14 50 and ask them to phone the Small Business Support Line on 1800 777 275.
This list is even updated regularly and can be a great resource to any one, business owner or not. Have you ever copied a business plan, structure or to do list? What do you feel are the best resources for these types of outlines?
